Long Beach ASSP Chapter 2026 Awards & Honors Gala

The Long Beach Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals proudly invites you to its 2026 Awards & Honors Gala, an elegant evening dedicated to celebrating excellence, leadership, and service in the occupational safety and health profession.

This prestigious annual event honors individuals whose dedication has advanced the safety profession and protected lives, while also recognizing the importance of mentorship, community, and professional growth. The evening will also feature the presentation of more than $5,000 in grants and scholarships, supporting both students and professionals as they pursue careers in occupational safety and health.

A special and deeply meaningful moment of the evening will be the presentation of the first-ever Sal Oliva Memorial Scholarship, honoring the life and legacy of Sal Oliva, a beloved member of the Long Beach Chapter who passed far too soon earlier this year. Sal’s passion for safety, mentorship, and service left a lasting impact on our chapter and the profession, and this scholarship ensures his commitment to developing future safety leaders lives on.

Dinner & Reception

Guests will enjoy a hosted evening at La Traviata featuring a Della Casa Salad, followed by a choice of entrée:

• Salmon
• New York Steak
• Meat Lasagna
• Penne Pomodoro (Vegetarian)

Passed appetizers will include mini crab cakes, coconut prawns, prosciutto-wrapped asparagus, and beef sliders, followed by tiramisu for dessert. A hosted bar (pay-as-you-go) will be available throughout the evening.
