Long Beach ASSP Educational Networking Event

  •  June 18, 2026
     12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Topic: It’s Getting Hot in Here
– Cal/OSHA Heat Illness Prevention (Indoor & Outdoor)

Presented by: Allyson Clark, CSP, CHMM

Agenda
12:00 PM – Networking Lunch (Provided)
12:30 PM – Presentation Begins

As temperatures rise, heat exposure is no longer just an outdoor issue. With Cal/OSHA increasing focus on both Outdoor (§3395) and Indoor Heat Illness Prevention requirements, employers must evaluate risk across all work environments—including warehouses, manufacturing floors, and non-climate-controlled facilities.

This session goes beyond regulatory basics and delivers a practical, field-ready approach to managing heat stress across your operations. You’ll learn how to implement compliant and effective programs covering water, shade or cooling measures, rest cycles, acclimatization, high-heat procedures, and emergency response—for both indoor and outdoor conditions.

Whether you are building a program from the ground up or strengthening an existing one, this training will help you reduce liability, protect workers, and confidently prepare for inspections.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand Cal/OSHA outdoor and indoor heat requirements
  • Identify high-risk conditions across work environments
  • Implement effective heat illness prevention controls
