On Thursday, January 23, 2025, the Long Beach Chapter of the ASSP hosted a special celebration to mark two significant achievements: the chapter’s membership in the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce and its first-time designation as a Platinum Chapter for the 2023/2024 term.
The event brought together chapter officers, including President Luis Ortiz, Past-President Chris Rainwater, Treasurer Calvin Pierre, and others, to celebrate this momentous occasion. The Executive Committee (EC), which organized the event, was deeply honored to welcome distinguished guests, including representatives from the Office of the Honorable Robert Garcia, U.S. House of Representatives, and the Honorable Rex Richardson, Mayor of Long Beach, CA. The EC was also thrilled to host representatives from the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, whose presence added to the evening’s significance.
The celebration drew dozens of chapter members who enjoyed an evening filled with delicious food, great conversation, and plenty of laughter. The EC extends its heartfelt gratitude to President Luis Ortiz and his firm, Safety First Management, for generously providing their office space to host this event. This milestone celebration would not have been possible without their support.
